Donations to the General Fund gives the greatest flexibility to help us protect our natural environment. This fund is used to pay our daily opperating expenses including Membership Services, Committee and Program support, office expenses and administrative costs.
Donations to the Law & Policy Clinic - Legal Fund are segregated funds used to defend our evironment through the legal process. The San Diego Chapter’s “Legal Eagles” Law Clinic employs strategic action and regulatory advocacy to ensure the protection of San Diego and Imperial Counties natural resources, and challenge those who seek to pollute and/or violate our federal, state and local environmental laws, specifically the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) and the National Environmental Quality Act (“NEPA”).
Donations to the Foster Lodge Capital Campaign are segregated funds used to maintain and support this treasure of the Chapter. Located in the Laguna Mountains and Cleveland National Forest, the San Diego Chapter operates Foster Lodge for the enjoyment of Sierra Club members and their guests. The lodge consists of two buildings. The main lodge is for use by Sierra Club groups as well as guest groups with a Club sponsor. A small cabin is open to individuals wanting to spend a weekend in the mountains.
Donations to the North County Coasters Group are for the support of conservation efforts in the coastal zone of San Diego County from Del Mar to Oceanside.
Donations to North County Inland Group are for the support of conservation efforts in the inland and backcountry of San Diego County, generally north of the City of San Diego.
